Infertility Yoga
Here are some basic instructions for infertility yoga.
Start by lying on your back on the mat or rug, legs and feet together, arms by your side, and close your eyes. Breathe deeply, allowing your slow, deep breaths to slow down your heart rate and melt any tension or stress in your body. Now your rhythm of breathing is established, try the supported bridge pose:
- Bring your feet towards your buttocks, while bending your knees, keeping the soles of the feet flat to the ground.
- As you exhale a breath, push down with your feet to lift your buttocks and pelvis off the floor, keeping your knees together.
- Move your arms underneath you to support as you push up to make your thighs parallel with the floor.
- Hold this position for about 30 seconds if you can, while continuing to breathe deeply and slowly.
- Again, as you exhale, gently lower yourself to the floor, and straighten the legs, keeping them together.
Repeat this exercise about 4 or 5 times. To get the best results, you need to try an infertility yoga dvd such as Fertility Yoga.
